Rohingya Refugee Camp, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh
On the blessed and spiritually significant occasion of Eid al-Adha 2025, the Rohingya Youth Empowerment Network (RYEN) successfully conducted a deeply meaningful Eid Gift Distribution program, bringing smiles and relief to some of the most vulnerable members of the Rohingya refugee community living in the camps of Cox’s Bazar.
As part of our ongoing commitment to humanitarian support and youth-led community empowerment, RYEN mobilized its young volunteers and coordinators across different zones of the camp to reach out directly to individuals and families facing extreme hardship. With hearts full of empathy and dedication, our team hand-delivered Eid Gift packages to:
• Elderly people living without family support,
• Persons with physical disabilities and chronic illnesses,
• Widowed women and single mothers struggling to provide for their children, and
• Impoverished families with limited or no income.
These Eid Gift packages served not only as a token of seasonal celebration but also as a symbol of care, dignity, and inclusion. Through this effort, RYEN hoped to assure our people that even in the darkest moments, they are not alone, not forgotten, and always remembered in the heart of our youth movement.
Eid al-Adha, a festival of sacrifice, faith, and togetherness, carries deep emotional and spiritual meaning for the Rohingya community, many of whom have endured years of displacement, loss, and trauma. In such a setting, a simple act of kindness, a gift, a smile, a sincere greeting becomes incredibly powerful. It rekindles hope, restores a sense of belonging, and strengthens the bond of humanity.
This program was made possible by the dedication of our volunteers, the trust of our community, and the belief that youth can lead change, even in crisis. RYEN extends heartfelt thanks to every individual and supporter who contributed time, energy, or resources to make this distribution possible.
At RYEN, we believe that empowerment begins with compassion, and that every person regardless of their age, gender, or background deserves to feel the joy and blessings of Eid. We will continue to stand with our people and serve them through acts of kindness, advocacy, education, and solidarity.
We pray that this Eid brings peace to every heart and strength to our community.
May the spirit of Eid continue to inspire us to lift each other up.
With gratitude and hope,
Rohingya Youth Empowerment Network (RYEN)
