Who We Are
Rohingya Youth Empowerment Network (RYEN) is a community-based, non-profit organization dedicated to serving and uplifting the Rohingya community. Our mission is to empower youth through education, humanitarian action, leadership development, and advocacy for the rights, dignity, and future of Rohingya people around the world.
At RYEN, we proudly prioritize the identity and voice of the Rohingya community. The word “Rohingya” represents our people, our history, and our commitment to preserving our identity through unity and action.
“Youth” reflects the young leaders, students, and changemakers who co-lead this movement with passion, creativity, and hope for a better future. We believe young people are not only the future, but also the driving force of change today.
“Empowerment” represents our goal to strengthen individuals and communities by creating opportunities, building confidence, supporting education, and encouraging leadership and self-reliance.
Finally, “Network” symbolizes the interconnected system of Rohingya youths, students, activists, and community members working together across different places with one shared vision, to create a stronger, educated, and empowered Rohingya community.
“Together, RYEN stands as a platform of unity, resilience, and hope, led by youth and inspired by the collective strength of our people.”
