At the Rohingya Youth Empowerment Network (RYEN), we believe that sports play a vital role in youth development. In the face of displacement, trauma, and daily struggles, Rohingya youth deserve spaces where they can experience joy, build confidence, and grow as individuals and leaders.
RYEN empowers youth by actively supporting sports as a tool for positive change. Football, in particular, has become a powerful way for young people in the camps to come together, release stress, and develop important life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and leadership. These activities not only strengthen their bodies but also uplift their spirits and foster unity among diverse camp communities.
By encouraging participation in sports, RYEN is helping to create a healthier, more hopeful generation of Rohingya youth, one that is active, engaged, and resilient. We see every match, every goal, and every cheer as part of a broader mission: to empower our youth and inspire a better future for all.
