
Sabekun Naher

Sabekun Naher is a 22-year-old Rohingya youth activist, humanitarian worker, and second-year university student, who has emerged as one of the most respected and influential young voices from within the Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. With a deep commitment to human rights, education, and sustainable solutions for her community, she works tirelessly to amplify the voices of the marginalized and advocate for the dignity, rights, and future of the Rohingya people.
Originally from Chin Tha Ma, Pondawpin Village in Buthidaung Township, Rakhine State, Myanmar, Sabekun was forced to flee her homeland during the 2017 genocide. Since resettling in Kutupalong Camp-01E the world’s largest refugee camp in Bangladesh she has devoted herself to advocacy, education, and community development.
Sabekun is widely recognized as a motivational speaker and youth leader. Through her talks and community engagement, she sheds light on critical issues affecting Rohingya refugees, including the right to education.
